AKM Side-Folding Wood Stock - Exotic Purpleheart

The AKM Side-Folding Wood Stock – Exotic Purpleheart by Nord Armory delivers an unmistakable visual statement paired with dependable mechanical performance. Designed for AKM-pattern rifles equipped with a 5.5mm side-folding trunnion, this premium stock blends elite craftsmanship with rare hardwood distinction.

Purpleheart, a dense hardwood native to Central and South America, is prized for its naturally vivid violet hue — a striking organic coloration rarely found in wood. Over time, it matures into a deeper, richer tone while retaining exceptional structural integrity. Beyond its unique appearance, Purpleheart is highly durable and resistant to wear, making it well-suited for demanding rifle furniture applications.

At its core, the assembly incorporates a hardened steel 5.5mm side-folding hinge, steel butt plate, and a responsive push-button locking mechanism. Precision-machined steel locking and mounting components ensure secure engagement, consistent alignment, and long-term reliability under repeated use.

Designed with proper side rail clearance for optic mounts, the stock remains fully compatible with modern AKM configurations. The side-folding system enhances portability and storage convenience while maintaining structural integrity and shooting stability when deployed.

For AKM enthusiasts seeking a truly distinctive build, the Exotic Purpleheart variant delivers rare visual intensity backed by steel-engineered durability — crafted to meet Nord Armory standards.
