AKM Side-Folding Wood Stock - Exotic Sapele

The AKM Side-Folding Wood Stock – Exotic Sapele from Nord Armory blends timeless craftsmanship with modern mechanical reliability. Designed for AKM-pattern rifles equipped with a 5.5mm side-folding trunnion, this premium stock offers a refined aesthetic upgrade without compromising durability or function.

Sapele, a hardwood native to tropical Africa, is prized for its deep reddish-brown coloration and shimmering, ribbon-like grain structure. Often compared to mahogany for its visual warmth and elegance, Sapele also delivers exceptional strength and dimensional stability — resisting wear, impact, and environmental changes over time.

At its core, the assembly incorporates a hardened steel 5.5mm side-folding hinge, steel butt plate, and a smooth push-button locking mechanism. Precision-machined steel locking and mounting components ensure secure engagement, consistent alignment, and long-term durability under repeated operation.

Designed with proper side rail clearance for optic mounts, the stock remains fully compatible with modern AKM configurations. The side-folding system enhances portability and storage efficiency while maintaining structural integrity and shooting stability when deployed.

Ideal for collectors, custom builders, and serious field users alike, the Exotic Sapele variant delivers premium hardwood character backed by dependable steel-engineered performance — crafted to meet Nord Armory standards.
