AKM Side-Folding Wood Stock - Russian Red

The AKM Side-Folding Wood Stock – Russian Red by Nord Armory is designed for builders who want their rifle to stand out while staying true to its roots.

The Russian Red finish draws inspiration from classic service rifles, delivering a deep, commanding tone that contrasts beautifully against steel components. Crafted from select beechwood, each stock reveals natural grain patterns beneath the translucent red finish — creating a bold yet authentic appearance that feels both historical and refined.

Mechanically, the assembly centers around a 5.5mm hardened steel folding hinge engineered for strength and consistent alignment. Paired with a steel butt plate and a responsive push-button release mechanism, it ensures confident deployment and dependable lock-up.

The integrated locking and mounting components are precision-machined from hardened steel, forming a stable and durable folding platform built to withstand repeated operation. Whether extended for shooting or folded for transport, the mechanism maintains structural integrity and smooth functionality.

Designed specifically for AKM-pattern rifles equipped with a 5.5mm side-folding trunnion, the Russian Red variant offers a more expressive interpretation of traditional AK furniture — combining historic visual identity with modern manufacturing standards while maintaining the authentic AKM profile.
