About the AKM Wood Lower Handguard - Russian Red
The Russian Red AKM Wood Lower Handguard from Nord Armory pays tribute to the classic Eastern Bloc aesthetic while delivering modern functionality. Constructed from sturdy beechwood and finished in a bold, lacquered red tone, it captures the iconic look favored in historic AKM furniture.
Engineered with a smooth, contoured profile for comfort and control, this handguard also features M-LOK slots to support a wide range of tactical attachments. The tough beechwood build is designed to withstand extended use and environmental stress. Installation is quick and secure thanks to pre-mounted steel hardware and the included lower spring.
Optimized for AKM-pattern rifles with stamped receivers, the design also ensures clearance for side-mounted optics. Ideal for both restoration projects and tactical applications, the Russian Red handguard brings together heritage, utility, and solid craftsmanship.
